Will Boston Take First Place In Eastern Conference

Although the Boston Celtics are a great contendor in the Eastern Conferance of the NBA, they are an aging team, and will not come out on top in the conference. With so many young players, talent levels, and teams emerging from the Eastern conference, it is hard for the aging Celtics to contend with such speed and agility the younger players show today. Although they have drafted new players, and will continually look for younger stars to join the team, as of yet, it hasn’t really shown which players will emerge and really compete for the team to come out on top of the standings.

After an impressive showing last year, the Bulls look to repeat as Eastern conference champs; plus, the Heat, with a very talented squad look to repeat in their showings, and hopefully make it out on top of the conference as well. Although the Celtics are a great team, and have great skill and players on the team, if new young talent doesn’t start coming into the team, it is going to be a long rebuilding expereince once the big three (Pierce, Garnett, and Allen), decide it’s time to retire from the game. Although they do have young talent in Rondo, and plenty of promise as a team, the older players get, the less they are able to compete with young new players entering the league.

So, although they do have the talent, and great squad, if the coaching staff and organization don’t get some new players in quickly, the team will have a long road ahead. They need players to give the older guys rest, as well as to be there once they older players are ready to retire, and new stars can emerge and be the new team leaders, and the new facec of the Celtics.
